Why hosting companies hire me
Changes that survive upgrades
Customisations live in WHMCS hooks, modules and template folders, never in core files, so the next WHMCS update does not wipe them out.
Staging first, production last
I build and test on a copy of your system. Your live billing and clients are touched only at an agreed time, with a rollback ready.
I run hosting operations too
As CTO of a hosting company I handle the tickets, failed payments and server incidents my clients face, so I build for the daily reality, not the demo.
How a project runs
-
1
Scoping call
About 30 minutes, free. I ask what is actually broken or missing before anyone talks about price.
-
2
Quote
A fixed price or an hourly estimate within one business day, tied to a written scope.
-
3
Build in staging
Work happens on a copy, never on your live system, with a progress update every day.
-
4
Handover and support
Written documentation, a test together, then two weeks of support after delivery.
Details, rates and what drives the price: how I work.

Common questions
Who is Shahid Malla?
I am a freelance WHMCS developer and hosting infrastructure engineer based in Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir, India. I have worked on WHMCS and hosting platforms for more than 13 years and I am Top Rated on Fiverr and Upwork.
What do you do?
WHMCS installation, migration, custom modules, themes, payment gateways, security and support; cPanel and Linux server setup and management; launching hosting businesses; SaaS products on Laravel; AI agents; and WordPress maintenance and malware removal.
How much does it cost?
I work at $55 to $65 per hour or give a fixed quote after a free scoping call. The scope decides the price, so I quote only after I understand the work. See how I work for what drives the cost.
How do I hire you as a WHMCS developer?
Send a short brief through the project form or book the free scoping call of about 30 minutes. You get a written quote within one business day, either a fixed price or $55 to $65 per hour, and the work is built and tested on a staging copy of your WHMCS before anything changes on the live system.
Do you also build AI chatbots, AI agents and SaaS products?
Yes. I build AI chatbots that answer from your own documents and hand off to a person, AI agents that can look things up and act in WHMCS or other systems within limits you set, and SaaS products on Laravel with subscription billing. Each has its own page under Services, with scope, limits and process.
How quickly do you reply?
I reply to new enquiries within one business day. When the work can start depends on my schedule, and I tell you on the first call.
Do you work with clients outside India?
Yes. Almost all of my work is remote for clients in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Australia. I work on India Standard Time and arrange overlap hours for your time zone.
Do you have ties to the hosting companies you mention?
Yes. I am CTO at ElySpace, Technical Lead at Fada.cloud and the founder of WHMCSPilot.com. I say so wherever it matters, and I do not present those companies as independent recommendations.
Tell me what you need.
Send a short brief. I reply within one business day with questions, an estimate and a plan.
