STACKIT Cloud Server Provisioning for WHMCS

Sell STACKIT cloud servers from WHMCS, priced from STACKIT's own price list plus your margin, and run by customers from the client area.

WHMCS 8.x (confirmed at purchase) PHP 7.4+

What does the STACKIT module do?

It connects WHMCS to STACKIT, the German cloud platform, through the STACKIT IaaS API, so a paid order becomes a running server without anyone opening the STACKIT portal. You enter the STACKIT project ID and access token on the WHMCS product, click Create Config Options, and the module builds the order options from your project: availability zones, operating systems and versions, flavors and a default security group.

On the order form the customer picks an availability zone, an operating system and version, a flavor type (general purpose, GPU or ARM), CPU and RAM to narrow the list, the flavor itself, the root volume size and whether they want a public IP. The cart refuses an ARM flavor with a non-ARM image, and the reverse, so orders that cannot boot never reach STACKIT. Customers can paste an SSH public key, which the module registers as a key pair for the server.

How are prices worked out?

When you create the config options, the module reads STACKIT's public price list and stores the monthly prices for server flavors (GPU servers included), premium performance volumes, volume capacity and public IP addresses, for both standard and metro zones. At checkout the recurring price is built from the chosen flavor, volume size and public IP, converted into the customer's currency, raised by the margin percentage set on the product and added to any base price you set. A daily job refreshes the flavor list, so new machine types appear and retired ones drop out.

What is included?

StageWhat the module handles
Order paidNetwork, server, boot volume, SSH key pair and optional public IP created on STACKIT
PowerStart, stop and reboot from the admin and client areas
ConsoleWeb console opened from the service page
FirewallCreate, edit, attach and detach security groups; add and remove rules by direction, protocol, ports and IP range
UpgradesMove to another flavor, with the server resized on STACKIT
Overdue or canceledServer stopped on suspension; on termination the security groups, public IP, key pair, server and network are removed

Who is it for?

Hosting companies and resellers whose customers ask for servers on a European cloud provider, and who want to sell them under their own brand with WHMCS doing the billing, invoices and support. It also suits agencies that already run client projects on STACKIT and want one place to bill for them.

What do you need, and what are the limits?

Requirements: WHMCS 8.x (confirmed at purchase), PHP 7.4 or newer, a STACKIT project with an access token that can manage IaaS resources, outbound HTTPS from WHMCS to the STACKIT API, the euro set up as a WHMCS currency (prices are converted from STACKIT's euro rates), and the standard WHMCS cron, which runs the daily flavor sync and the network cleanup after terminations.

Limits: the module works with STACKIT's eu01 region API; root volumes use the premium performance class; prices come from STACKIT's monthly rates and are refreshed when you create the config options again, so it is built for monthly billing rather than hourly usage. Load balancers, databases and other STACKIT services are outside its scope. You pay STACKIT for every resource your customers use.

It costs $149 once for a lifetime license with twelve months of updates and support, an instant download and license key, and a seven-day refund window.

Why customers buy this module

  • →Offer servers on a European cloud without running hardware yourself

Frequently asked questions

How does the module set the price a customer pays?

<p>It reads STACKIT's public price list for flavors, volumes and public IPs, then adds them up for the options the customer chose at checkout. The total is converted into the customer's currency and raised by the margin percentage you set on the product, and any base price on the product is added on top.</p>

Can I sell GPU or ARM servers on STACKIT?

<p>Yes. The order form groups flavors into general purpose, GPU and ARM types, using the flavors available in your STACKIT project. The cart checks that an ARM flavor is paired with an ARM image, and a non-ARM flavor with a non-ARM image, before the order is accepted.</p>

What happens on STACKIT when a service is canceled?

<p>On termination the module detaches and deletes the server's security groups, releases its public IP, deletes the SSH key pair and the server, and queues the server's network for deletion, which the next WHMCS cron run completes. Suspension stops the server, and unsuspension starts it again.</p>
