About this package
This package sets up recurring billing on Stripe Billing for a SaaS, membership or service business moving from manual invoices or one-off charges: products and prices in Stripe, Checkout for sign-up, and the webhook handling that keeps access in your app in step with what customers have actually paid.
Billing state comes from Stripe
Your app should never guess whether someone is subscribed. I handle the events that matter, such as checkout.session.completed, invoice.paid, customer.subscription.updated and invoice.payment_failed, and store the resulting status against the customer record. Access is granted or removed from that status. Starter includes test clock runs, which fast-forward time in test mode to check renewals and cancellations before any real customer meets them.
Trials, plan changes and failed cards
- Business adds free trials, coupons, and monthly and yearly prices.
- Upgrades and downgrades prorate, so customers pay only for the difference.
- Failed cards go through Stripe Smart Retries plus reminder emails, and customers update cards or cancel in the Stripe customer portal instead of emailing you.
Larger pricing models on Premium
Premium covers usage-based or per-seat pricing, tax collection with Stripe Tax, an admin view of subscribers and monthly recurring revenue, migration of existing subscribers and a review of the full billing flow before launch. Usage billing needs your app to report usage reliably, which I build into the handler.
Pricing, trial length and tax registrations are your decisions. Stripe charges its own billing and tax fees on top of card fees. If the billing work is part of a bigger product build, the SaaS development service covers the rest of the app.

I have built websites, WHMCS modules and web apps for clients since before AI coding tools existed. Today I build with AI-assisted tools and review every change myself, which is why fixed prices here are lower than an agency's for the same scope. I work while the US, Canada and Australia sleep, so each morning there is progress on your staging link.

Questions about this package
Can existing customers keep their saved cards when we move to Stripe?
From another card processor, often yes: Stripe runs a secure card data migration with your old processor, and I recreate the subscriptions on top. From manual invoices or PayPal, customers enter a card once through a link I set up. Premium covers the subscription side of either route.
What happens to a customer's access when a payment fails?
You choose. A common setup keeps access during Stripe's retry period, shows a banner asking for a new card, and removes access only when the subscription is finally marked unpaid or canceled. That avoids locking out good customers over a temporary card problem.
Do I need Stripe Tax?
If you sell digital services across states or countries and are registered for tax in several places, it saves a lot of manual work. If you sell only in one country with one rate, a fixed tax rate may be enough. Your accountant decides where you must register; Stripe Tax then calculates.
How ordering a package works
-
1
Choose a plan
Pick Starter, Business or Premium and pay once by card, PayPal or crypto. The price on the page is the price.
-
2
Send your content
A project opens for your order. Send your text, logo, photos and any logins I need there.
-
3
I build it
I build on a private staging link you can open on your phone, with updates as I go.
-
4
Launch and handover
After your approval the site goes live on your domain, and every login is yours.
One-time price, no monthly fee from me
You pay for the build once. Your domain and hosting are registered in your name and renewed with your hosting provider, who bills you directly. I add nothing on top, and the site keeps running whether or not you hire me again.
What I do not build
Gambling and adult websites, and sites that sell content without the rights to it. Need something not listed? Ask for a custom quote.
