Chargewise

Next.js online store for smart 12V battery chargers

A Next.js online store I built for Chargewise: two smart 12V battery chargers, a vehicle-based charger finder, cart, accounts and order tracking.

What I built

Chargewise sells two pocket-size smart chargers that keep stored 12V batteries full, one for lead acid batteries and one for lithium, and ships across the United States and Canada. I built its online store in Next.js.

A visitor who is not sure which charger fits picks the vehicle they store, from motorcycles and boats to snowmobiles, RVs and classic cars, and the site explains which battery it most likely has and which charger matches. A side-by-side table compares the two chargers, and product pages, a cart, checkout, customer accounts, order tracking and a support form cover the rest of the purchase. The footer lists Visa, Mastercard, Amex, PayPal and Apple Pay.

Subscribers who sign up in the footer get a short email each fall and spring with battery storage tips.

Related service: web design and development.

The challenge

Help buyers who do not know their battery chemistry choose the right charger before they check out.

How I solved it

A vehicle-based charger finder that names the likely battery type and the matching charger.
A side-by-side comparison of the lead acid and lithium chargers.
Store, cart, checkout, customer accounts and order tracking built in Next.js.

The outcome

The store is live at charge-wise.com and ships across the United States and Canada.
