Custom Field Bulk Manager for WHMCS

Create one product custom field on many products at once, change or delete fields in bulk, and export or import your whole field setup.

WHMCS 8.x (confirmed at purchase) PHP 7.4+

What does the custom field manager do?

WHMCS stores product custom fields per product. If every hosting plan needs a "Preferred server location" dropdown or a "Domain for SSL" text box, you add it to each product separately, and changing it later means visiting each one again. This addon puts that work on one admin page. Fill in the field once, tick the products it belongs on, and it is created on each of them. Products that already have a field with that name are skipped, so running it twice does not create duplicates.

What is included?

TaskHow it works
Bulk createText box, password, dropdown, checkbox, text area or link field on all selected products
Field optionsDescription, dropdown options, admin only, required and show on order form
AssignCopy an existing field, with all its settings, to more products
Bulk updateSwitch admin only, required or show on order form on many fields at once
Bulk deleteRemove selected fields together with their stored values
Export and importProduct, client or all fields as JSON, CSV or XML, with an overwrite option
Snapshots and logSnapshot of field definitions before an import, plus an activity log by admin

Who should use it?

It suits hosts and resellers with large product catalogs, anyone adding a new order form question across many plans at once, and teams that build their setup on a staging WHMCS and then move it to the live one. A dashboard shows how many client and product fields you have and how many products they cover.

How does moving fields between installations work?

Export the fields you want as a JSON, CSV or XML file, then import that file on the other installation. Each field keeps its product ID, so the products need matching IDs on both sides, or you edit the IDs in the file before importing. Existing fields with the same name and product are skipped unless you tick overwrite, and you can take a snapshot first.

What do you need, and what are the limits?

Requirements: WHMCS 8.x and PHP 7.4 or newer.

Limits: bulk create makes product fields; client custom fields can be exported and imported but are not created in bulk. Bulk delete also removes the answers customers entered, so take a database backup first if you may need them. Snapshots are kept in the database for reference, and restoring a setup is done by importing an export file. Validation patterns travel with an import but are not set in the create form.

It costs $39 once for a lifetime license with twelve months of updates and support, an instant download and license key, and a seven-day refund window.

Frequently asked questions

Will it create duplicate fields if a product already has one?

<p>No. Before creating a field on a product, it checks for a field with the same name on that product and skips it if one exists. The result tells you how many fields were created and how many were skipped.</p>

Can I move my custom fields to another WHMCS installation?

<p>Yes. Export the fields as JSON, CSV or XML and import the file on the other installation. Fields keep their product IDs, so the products should have the same IDs on both, or you adjust the IDs in the file before importing.</p>

What happens to customer answers when I delete a field?

<p>Bulk delete removes the field and every value customers entered for it in one step, and the addon cannot bring those values back. Take a database backup first if you may need the answers later.</p>
