Bulk Edit and Mass Update Tool for WHMCS

Change prices, move customers between packages, extend renewals or suspend services in bulk, with a dry run first and undo after.

WHMCS 8.13 tested PHP 8.1+

What kinds of bulk changes can it make?

Price changes, package moves, renewal extensions, suspensions, emails and custom field edits across any number of WHMCS records. These are jobs that WHMCS's own admin area makes you do one record at a time, so they usually end up as SQL queries run straight against the database, with no preview and no easy way back.

  • Prices: raise or lower by a percentage or a fixed amount
  • Packages: move a group of customers from one package to another, with prorated billing
  • Renewals: push due dates out by a set period
  • Suspensions: suspend or unsuspend in one run, with the reason logged
  • Email: send to a filtered group with merge tags, at a controlled rate
  • Custom fields: set or clear values on clients, services or domains

How do I avoid breaking something?

Every run starts as a dry run that shows you each change before it is applied. The wizard goes filter, preview, apply, review log. After a run, you can reverse it within an undo window, 72 hours by default and adjustable, and the undo is carried out as a single atomic step. Each run can be exported to CSV for your records.

How do I pick the records to change?

With a filter builder. Narrow the set by product, country, status, last login date or a custom field value, and combine conditions until the preview shows exactly the set you mean. Large runs go through a job queue in the background, so even 100,000 updates finish without the page timing out. That makes rebrands, price reviews and post-acquisition customer moves a short task instead of an afternoon of queries.

What do you need, and what are the limits?

Requirements: WHMCS 8.13 (tested), PHP 8.1 or newer, and an admin role that you grant the new bulk-actions permission. Only admins you give that permission to can run bulk jobs.

Limits: there is no client area part; the module is for staff only. Undo works inside the window you set, so changes left beyond it are permanent. Bulk emails still go through WHMCS, so your mail setup and sending limits apply.

Frequently asked questions

Can I reverse a bulk price change?

<p>Yes. Each bulk run can be undone for 72 hours by default, and you can change that window in the settings. The undo applies the opposite operation as one atomic step, so you do not end up with half the records restored and half still changed.</p>

Does it handle custom fields?

<p>Yes. Custom fields attached to domains, services or client profiles can all be filled in or emptied in bulk. You can also use custom field values as a filter, for example to change only the services where a field holds a particular value, and check the preview before anything is written.</p>

How many records can one run change?

<p>There is no hard limit. Runs are handed to a job queue that works in the background, so a batch of 100,000 updates completes without the browser request timing out. You can keep working in WHMCS while it runs and read the log when it finishes.</p>
