About this package
This package audits one cPanel/WHM or plain Linux server, such as AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux, Ubuntu or Debian, and reports how it could be broken into: SSH settings, firewall rules, listening services, patch level and backups. It is for hosting companies, agencies and SaaS founders running their own VPS or dedicated server without a full-time sysadmin.
How the audit runs
You create a sudo user or give me WHM root access, and I work read-only: I list, inspect and compare, and I change nothing unless you ask in writing. Your site files, databases and mailboxes stay closed. If the server is rented from a provider, its acceptable use policy applies, and on a managed server where the provider holds root, I need their agreement too. The signed authorization names the server and the IP address I connect from.
What is on the checklist
- SSH: root login, password sign-in, key types, who holds keys and what sudo rules allow.
- Every listening port, the service behind it, and whether it should face the internet.
- Pending updates, kernel version and whether the OS itself still receives security fixes; CentOS 7 does not.
- Firewall rules in CSF, firewalld or ufw, and on cPanel servers cPHulk, ModSecurity, PHP versions per account and the WHM Security Advisor results.
- Whether backups run, where they go, and if a copy sits off the server.
Premium covers up to three servers in one report, reads auth logs for brute force and odd sign-ins, checks system packages against their checksums, and restores one account from backup to prove it works.
Audit first, hardening after
The report gives the exact commands or WHM settings for each fix, ranked by severity, and a retest once you apply them. If you would rather have the changes made for you, that is the server security hardening service, and this report becomes its starting list. A server that already shows signs of compromise is flagged at once and quoted separately.

I have built websites, WHMCS modules and web apps for clients since before AI coding tools existed. Today I build with AI-assisted tools and review every change myself, which is why fixed prices here are lower than an agency's for the same scope. I work while the US, Canada and Australia sleep, so each morning there is progress on your staging link.

Questions about this package
Will the audit change anything on my server?
No. I run read-only commands and note what I find. The only traffic from outside is the external port scan on Business and Premium, which is light and comes from one IP address you approve. Changes happen only if you add the fixes extra or ask in writing.
My provider manages the server. Can you still audit it?
Usually yes, with their agreement. Managed providers often keep root access and have rules about outside administrators, so I ask you to confirm with them first. The report then splits findings into what you can change in WHM or cPanel and what you need to ask the provider to change.
Do you audit Windows servers?
No. This package covers Linux servers only, with or without cPanel/WHM, including CloudLinux. If you run Windows with Plesk or IIS, I would rather say so up front than run a checklist I do not use every week.
How ordering a package works
-
1
Choose a plan
Pick Starter, Business or Premium and pay once by card, PayPal or crypto. The price on the page is the price.
-
2
Send your content
A project opens for your order. Send your text, logo, photos and any logins I need there.
-
3
I build it
I build on a private staging link you can open on your phone, with updates as I go.
-
4
Launch and handover
After your approval the site goes live on your domain, and every login is yours.
One-time price, no monthly fee from me
You pay for the build once. Your domain and hosting are registered in your name and renewed with your hosting provider, who bills you directly. I add nothing on top, and the site keeps running whether or not you hire me again.
What I do not build
Gambling and adult websites, and sites that sell content without the rights to it. Need something not listed? Ask for a custom quote.
