NETHAVO
German hosting brand: WordPress website, WHMCS client area and modules
NETHAVO is a German hosting brand. I built its WordPress website, a WHMCS 9 client area in the same design, and WHMCS modules for SEPA, invoices and DATEV.
What I built
NETHAVO is a new German brand for web hosting, domains and WordPress web design, with hosting on Plesk. I built its website, its WHMCS client area and the WHMCS modules a German hosting business needs before it can take orders. Everything is in German, in the formal Sie form.
The website runs on WordPress, with a block theme for the look and a plugin I wrote for everything the site does. The plugin adds 19 blocks, such as package cards, a comparison table, domain search, FAQ and a status list. Its settings screens let the team edit packages, prices, domain endings and FAQ without code. Once WHMCS is connected, order buttons go straight to the WHMCS cart and the domain search asks WHMCS on the server. The forms cover contact, web design requests, contract cancellation and reports of illegal content. Entries are stored encrypted, and the forms accept no file uploads.
The client area is a WHMCS 9 child theme of Nexus in the website's design, with the same menus and footer. The order form has three steps: package, then domain and term, then account and payment. It checks a German postcode, an IBAN or a VAT ID while the customer types, and WHMCS still checks everything again on the server.
Instead of buying separate plugins for the German market, I built them as WHMCS modules with German and English texts. A SEPA direct debit gateway keeps the mandates and writes the bank file in the ISO 20022 pain.008 format. A legal module records which version of the terms each customer accepted and handles online withdrawals and cancellations. Others produce German invoice and credit note PDFs, export bookings for the tax advisor in DATEV format, and connect the domain reseller account as a registrar. A core addon gives them one admin dashboard, a log viewer and a shared look.
What a German hosting company needs, from building this one: SEPA direct debit, a correct invoice PDF and a record of consent are part of the launch, not extras; German law asks for a cancellation button for contracts made online; WHMCS 9 does not let you edit an issued invoice, so corrections go through credit notes; and the team should be able to change prices, packages and FAQ on the website without a developer.
