What does the price manager do?
Out of the box, a WHMCS configurable option has one price per billing cycle and currency, and every client who orders it pays that price. This addon adds a pricing layer on top. You can give one client their own price for an option, set a price for a whole client group such as partners or long-standing customers, or apply a custom rule. The matching price is then used for that client automatically, with no manual edits to orders or invoices.

Why not just clone the product?
Copying a product for every negotiated rate works for a while. Then you have dozens of near-identical products, reports that are hard to read and upgrade paths that break. Keeping one product and varying only the option price keeps the catalog clean while still billing each client what you agreed. When your rate card changes, a bulk update moves all the custom prices at once instead of one rule at a time. And when finance asks why a client pays a different price, the pricing history shows who changed it and when.
