SMThemes Hosting and Domains WHMCS Theme

A WHMCS 9.1 theme for web hosts: website pages, a rebuilt client area, a two-step checkout and admin addons for texts, colors, logo and DNS.

WHMCS 9.1 (child theme of Nexus) PHP 7.4+

What does SMThemes change in WHMCS?

Almost every page a customer sees. SMThemes is a child theme of Nexus for WHMCS 9.1, so any page it does not replace still loads from Nexus and keeps working after updates. I first built it for a hosting and domains business, and I kept every price, plan and sentence out of the templates: plans and prices come from your WHMCS products and TLD pricing, and the wording sits in language keys your staff can edit from the admin.

The public side has its own website pages: homepage, web hosting, WordPress hosting, email hosting, website builder, VPS hosting, SSL certificates, VPN, domain registration, domain transfer, WHOIS lookup and bulk domain search, plus about, contact, terms, privacy, refund and abuse pages. A plan you mark as Featured in WHMCS carries the "Most popular" label, and you tick in the addon which WHMCS products each product line page shows.

What is included?

PartWhat it does
Client area themeDashboard with count tiles and a "needs attention" list, then services, domains, billing, support and account pages, a phone tab bar and a Ctrl+K search box
Hosting service pagecPanel single sign-on tiles plus disk and bandwidth use for the account
Order formTwo-step checkout built on Standard Cart: plan, billing cycle, add-ons and domain first, then account and payment, with a cart drawer on every page
Settings addonTop or sidebar menu, company phone, email, address and VAT number, two brand colors, logo upload, homepage texts and tile order, every page text, and the products shown on each product line
DNS addonClients add, edit and delete A, AAAA, CNAME, MX and TXT records in the zone on the cPanel server that hosts their site

Who is it for?

Hosting companies and domain resellers on WHMCS 9.1 that sell shared hosting, email and domains, perhaps with VPS, SSL or VPN as extra lines, and want the website and the client area to read as one product instead of a stock install with a separate marketing site. Staff change texts, colors, the logo and the homepage tiles from the addon pages, so routine edits do not need a developer.

What do you need, and what are the limits?

Requirements: WHMCS 9.1 with the Nexus theme and the Standard Cart order form in place (both ship with WHMCS) and PHP 7.4 or newer. The DNS editor needs domains on your default nameservers, a zone on a cPanel server in WHMCS, and that server's WHM API token or password stored in WHMCS.

Limits: there is no dark mode. The DNS editor writes A, AAAA, CNAME, MX and TXT records only, keeps NS and SOA read-only, and checks that a record has not changed elsewhere before editing it. Logos upload as PNG, JPG or WEBP up to 2 MB, not SVG. WHMCS pages the theme does not override keep the Nexus look.

It costs $199 once for a lifetime license with twelve months of updates and support, an instant download and license key, and a seven-day refund window.

Frequently asked questions

Will a WHMCS update overwrite SMThemes?

<p>No. SMThemes lives in its own folder as a child of Nexus, and its order form is a child of Standard Cart, so WHMCS updates replace the parent themes and leave these files alone. Any page SMThemes does not override keeps loading from Nexus. If a new WHMCS release changes a template the theme depends on, the fix comes as an update during your support year.</p>

Can my staff change texts and colors without touching code?

<p>Yes. The addon has four tabs: settings for the menu, company details, two brand colors and the logo; homepage content with drag-and-drop tile order; page texts, where every visible text is listed by page area with a search box; and a tab that picks which WHMCS products each product line shows. A blank field keeps the theme's own wording.</p>

Does the DNS editor work for every domain?

<p>No. It opens the zone only for an active domain that belongs to the signed-in client, uses your default nameservers and has a hosting account on one of your cPanel servers. Every change is checked on the server, written through WHM's API and logged in WHMCS. For any other domain the page explains why there is no zone to edit.</p>
