About this package

This package builds an events guide for a city, a music scene or an industry: organizers submit events, you approve them, and visitors filter a calendar by date, category and area. It runs on WordPress, so you and your editors manage it from a familiar admin.

From submission to calendar

An organizer fills in the event form with date, time, venue, price, image and ticket link. The event waits in your approval queue, and once accepted it appears in both a calendar view and a list. Visitors filter by today, this weekend, category and area, and each venue has its own page with a map and its upcoming events. Past events drop out of the listings by themselves but keep their pages, which is useful for venues and recurring series.

What changes on Business and Premium

  • Organizers get accounts to edit their own events instead of emailing you changes.
  • Recurring events, such as a weekly farmers market, are entered once with a repeat rule rather than typed in fifty times.
  • Organizers pay by Stripe or PayPal to feature an event, and subscribers receive a weekly events email.
  • Each event outputs Event structured data with start time, venue and ticket link.
  • Premium adds organizer profile pages, add-to-calendar buttons, iCal feed import and simple ticket sales by Stripe.

Ticketing limits

The Premium ticket option suits simple general admission: a ticket type, a price, a quantity and a QR code in the confirmation email. Seated venues, scanning apps and festival access control need a dedicated ticketing platform, and the site can link to Eventbrite or similar for those. Ticket refunds and event cancellations follow the organizer's policy, which you publish on the site.

I have built websites, WHMCS modules and web apps for clients since before AI coding tools existed. Today I build with AI-assisted tools and review every change myself, which is why fixed prices here are lower than an agency's for the same scope. I work while the US, Canada and Australia sleep, so each morning there is progress on your staging link.

Questions about this package

Can events come in automatically from venues' own calendars?

On Premium, yes, where a venue publishes an iCal feed, which many booking systems and Google Calendar offer. The site checks each feed on a schedule and adds new events to your approval queue, so you still decide what appears. Venues without a feed submit through the form.

Can I run more than one city on the same site?

Yes. Areas are a filter, so a second city is a new set of areas and venues rather than a second site. Visitors pick their city and the calendar shows only its events. Give each city its own landing page so it can be found in search on its own.

Do I need a newsletter tool for the weekly events email?

The Business and Premium plans send a weekly email of upcoming events to subscribers. For a small list, the site can send it through a transactional email service in your name. For a larger list, I connect Mailchimp or a similar tool, which bills you by list size.

How ordering a package works

  1. 1

    Choose a plan

Pick Starter, Business or Premium and pay once by card, PayPal or crypto. The price on the page is the price.

  2. 2

    Send your content

A project opens for your order. Send your text, logo, photos and any logins I need there.

  3. 3

    I build it

I build on a private staging link you can open on your phone, with updates as I go.

  4. 4

    Launch and handover

After your approval the site goes live on your domain, and every login is yours.

One-time price, no monthly fee from me

You pay for the build once. Your domain and hosting are registered in your name and renewed with your hosting provider, who bills you directly. I add nothing on top, and the site keeps running whether or not you hire me again.

What I do not build

Gambling and adult websites, and sites that sell content without the rights to it. Need something not listed? Ask for a custom quote.
