About this package

I build a website for a family foundation, community fund or corporate giving program that publishes its funding priorities and eligibility and takes grant applications through a structured online form. It replaces applications that arrive by email in a dozen formats, each one retyped into a spreadsheet before review can start.

The applicant's path

Applicants read your priorities, eligibility rules and deadlines first, which saves both sides from applications that never fit. The form, built in Gravity Forms, asks for organization details, the project, a budget and supporting documents as uploads. On Business, applicants save a draft and finish it later, which matters for long applications written by small teams, and get a confirmation email when they submit. Each application then moves through stages you define, such as received, in review, shortlisted, awarded or declined.

How review works on Premium

Reviewers log in and see only the applications assigned to them. They score each one against your criteria, leave notes for the panel, and flag a conflict of interest when they know the applicant, which removes them from that application. Applications export to CSV for board packs, and multiple grant rounds keep each cycle's applications and scores separate.

Grantees and good practice

A grantees page lists funded projects once you decide to publish them, with the amount and purpose if you choose. Applicant data and budgets are confidential, so uploads stay private and only admins and assigned reviewers open them. Eligibility decisions, award terms and any reporting obligations to regulators belong to your board; the site records the process you follow. Gravity Forms needs a yearly licence bought in the foundation's name.

I have built websites, WHMCS modules and web apps for clients since before AI coding tools existed. Today I build with AI-assisted tools and review every change myself, which is why fixed prices here are lower than an agency's for the same scope. I work while the US, Canada and Australia sleep, so each morning there is progress on your staging link.

Questions about this package

Can applicants upload large documents such as audited accounts?

Yes. Each upload field accepts the file types you allow, usually PDF, Word and Excel, up to a size limit set within your hosting's capacity. Files are stored outside public folders and opened only by logged-in admins or assigned reviewers.

Can we run an eligibility quiz before the full application?

Yes. A short set of yes-or-no questions can sit before the form, and applicants who do not meet the criteria see a polite message explaining why. That saves them time and saves your team from reviewing ineligible applications. Tell me your criteria when you order.

Can we email all applicants at once when decisions are made?

On Business and Premium, applicants receive an email when their status changes to awarded or declined, using templates you write. You can also export the list and send a personal message from your own email tool if you prefer a more individual tone.

How ordering a package works

  1. 1

    Choose a plan

Pick Starter, Business or Premium and pay once by card, PayPal or crypto. The price on the page is the price.

  2. 2

    Send your content

A project opens for your order. Send your text, logo, photos and any logins I need there.

  3. 3

    I build it

I build on a private staging link you can open on your phone, with updates as I go.

  4. 4

    Launch and handover

After your approval the site goes live on your domain, and every login is yours.

One-time price, no monthly fee from me

You pay for the build once. Your domain and hosting are registered in your name and renewed with your hosting provider, who bills you directly. I add nothing on top, and the site keeps running whether or not you hire me again.

What I do not build

Gambling and adult websites, and sites that sell content without the rights to it. Need something not listed? Ask for a custom quote.
