Volunteer Signup Website

This package builds a volunteer website where people see open roles, choose shifts on a calendar and sign up, while coordinators manage everything from one dashboard. It replaces spreadsheets and long group-chat threads at food banks, shelters, clean-up groups, animal rescues and event teams.

What a new volunteer sees

Each role has its own page with duties, time commitment, location, any minimum age and any checks required, so people self-select before signing up. On Starter, volunteers submit a signup form with their availability and you receive an email alert. From Business up, they pick open shifts from a calendar where each shift has a spot limit, and a full shift closes itself.

The coordinator's side

• Business sends reminder emails the day before each shift, so fewer people forget.
• Volunteers sign an online waiver or consent form using your organization's wording, recorded with a timestamp.
• The volunteer list exports to a spreadsheet for phone trees and reports.
• Premium gives volunteers accounts with their shift history, tracks hours for funder and annual reports, accepts background check documents through private upload, and lets companies or schools sign up as a group.

Checks and personal data

Background checks, such as a DBS check in the UK, a Working with Children Check in Australia or a vulnerable sector check in Canada, are run by the relevant agency; the site only collects the document or reference you ask for. Uploaded documents are stored privately and visible to admins only. Your safeguarding policy decides who may volunteer and how long records are kept, and your waiver wording should come from your legal adviser.
