About this package
This package builds two pages that answer the questions SaaS customers otherwise send to support: a changelog that shows what shipped this week, and a status page that shows whether the product is working right now. Both sit on your own domain, in your brand, and both can be followed by email so customers hear about changes before they go looking.
The changelog
Each entry has a date, a title, tags such as New, Improved and Fixed, and a screenshot or short GIF. You write entries in MDX or a CMS, and an RSS feed lets Zapier, Buffer or a reader app pick them up. From Business up, subscribers receive new entries by email through Resend, Postmark or Loops. Premium adds a "What's new" widget inside your app with an unread dot, which shows existing users the changes that affect them without a separate announcement.
The status page
- Components such as API, dashboard, webhooks and email delivery, each with its own state.
- Incidents posted from a short admin form, moving through investigating, identified, monitoring and resolved, with timestamped updates.
- On Business and Premium, states come from checks in Better Stack, UptimeRobot or Checkly, or from pings your own scheduler sends, with 90 days of history per component and notices for planned maintenance.
- Premium lets subscribers follow only the components they use and posts incidents to your Slack or Discord.
When the product itself is down
The status page runs on hosting separate from your app, so an outage on your servers does not take it offline, and the admin form works from a phone. The page reports what your checks and your team say; it does not improve uptime, and incident wording stays with you. Monitor subscriptions and email sending fees are billed by those providers.

I have built websites, WHMCS modules and web apps for clients since before AI coding tools existed. Today I build with AI-assisted tools and review every change myself, which is why fixed prices here are lower than an agency's for the same scope. I work while the US, Canada and Australia sleep, so each morning there is progress on your staging link.

Questions about this package
Why not use a hosted status page service instead?
Statuspage, Instatus and Better Stack's status pages work well and are quick to start, and I will say so if one fits you. A custom build makes sense when you want the changelog and status in one place, in your design, without per-subscriber fees and with the data in your own database.
What happens to the status page if our servers go down?
It stays up, because it runs with a different provider from your app, for example static hosting on Vercel while the product runs on AWS or a VPS. Checks come from outside your network, and you can post an incident from your phone while the team works on the fix.
Can new changelog entries post to LinkedIn or X automatically?
Each entry gets a share image and a clean link, and the RSS feed can drive Zapier or Buffer to post it. Direct posting through those networks' own APIs depends on their current access rules and fees, so I set up the feed route unless you already have API access.
How ordering a package works
-
1
Choose a plan
Pick Starter, Business or Premium and pay once by card, PayPal or crypto. The price on the page is the price.
-
2
Send your content
A project opens for your order. Send your text, logo, photos and any logins I need there.
-
3
I build it
I build on a private staging link you can open on your phone, with updates as I go.
-
4
Launch and handover
After your approval the site goes live on your domain, and every login is yours.
One-time price, no monthly fee from me
You pay for the build once. Your domain and hosting are registered in your name and renewed with your hosting provider, who bills you directly. I add nothing on top, and the site keeps running whether or not you hire me again.
What I do not build
Gambling and adult websites, and sites that sell content without the rights to it. Need something not listed? Ask for a custom quote.
