About this package
This package builds a documentation and help center site for a SaaS product, usually at docs.yourdomain.com or help.yourdomain.com, and moves your existing articles into it from Notion, Google Docs, Zendesk, Intercom or loose files. It is for companies whose support team answers the same question every day because the answer is hard to find.
Two kinds of reader
Customers want short how-to articles grouped by task, with screenshots and a clear next step. Developers want guides, code samples and a complete API reference. On Business and Premium the site has both: a help center organized by category, and developer docs with language tabs on code samples (cURL, JavaScript, Python, PHP) and an API reference generated from your OpenAPI file with Scalar or Redoc, so the reference changes when the spec changes.
How your team writes and publishes
- Developers write MDX files in Git, so docs change in the same pull request as the feature they describe.
- Support staff who do not use Git can edit in a headless CMS or a Laravel admin panel instead; I set up whichever fits who writes.
- A "Was this helpful?" vote sends results to your analytics, so you see which articles fail readers.
- Old help URLs redirect to the new pages, keeping links in emails, tickets and search results working.
Search, versions and in-app help
Starter and Business use Pagefind, a static search index with no monthly fee. Premium switches to Algolia for typo tolerance and search analytics, adds a version switcher for products with v1 and v2 APIs, and gives your app links that open the right article from any screen. A CI job checks for broken links and flags articles not touched in a set period.
Writing new articles is not part of the plans; the writing extra covers that. Algolia, CMS and support tool fees are paid to those providers.

I have built websites, WHMCS modules and web apps for clients since before AI coding tools existed. Today I build with AI-assisted tools and review every change myself, which is why fixed prices here are lower than an agency's for the same scope. I work while the US, Canada and Australia sleep, so each morning there is progress on your staging link.

Questions about this package
Can you import our Zendesk or Intercom help articles?
Yes. I pull articles through the export or the API, download their images so nothing still loads from the old tool, rewrite links between articles, and on Business and Premium redirect every old article URL to its new page. Formatting that the old editor added by hand is cleaned up during the move.
Why build docs ourselves instead of using GitBook or Mintlify?
Those tools are good, and if a hosted product suits you I will say so. Building in your repository means no per-editor fees, docs reviewed alongside code, a design that matches your marketing site, and no migration if that vendor changes its pricing later.
Can some docs be visible only to logged-in customers?
Yes. Private sections check your app's session or a signed link before showing the page. Keep in mind that search engines and AI assistants cannot read private pages, so most companies leave general how-to content public and lock only internal or contract-specific material.
How ordering a package works
-
1
Choose a plan
Pick Starter, Business or Premium and pay once by card, PayPal or crypto. The price on the page is the price.
-
2
Send your content
A project opens for your order. Send your text, logo, photos and any logins I need there.
-
3
I build it
I build on a private staging link you can open on your phone, with updates as I go.
-
4
Launch and handover
After your approval the site goes live on your domain, and every login is yours.
One-time price, no monthly fee from me
You pay for the build once. Your domain and hosting are registered in your name and renewed with your hosting provider, who bills you directly. I add nothing on top, and the site keeps running whether or not you hire me again.
What I do not build
Gambling and adult websites, and sites that sell content without the rights to it. Need something not listed? Ask for a custom quote.
