Tiered Partner Program Module for WHMCS
Run referral and managed partners from WHMCS, with commission tiers that move up or down with each partner's monthly recurring revenue.
What does the partner program module do?
It adds a partner program to WHMCS with two kinds of partner. Referral partners share a link and earn a commission on the invoices their referred clients pay, for a set number of quarters, eight by default, which is two years. Managed partners, usually agencies and freelancers, add their own clients under their partner account and earn on that revenue as well as on any clients they refer.
How do the tiers work?
Each partner sits in one of four tiers, set by the monthly recurring revenue of their managed clients. Only active monthly services on commission-eligible products count. The thresholds and rates below are the defaults and can be changed in the module settings; the payout rhythm follows the tier.

The daily cron recalculates each partner's revenue and moves them up or down, straight away or not, as you choose. An admin can lock a partner into a tier and unlock it later, and revenue snapshots are kept so you can see how a partner has grown.

Who is it for?
Hosting companies that sell through web agencies, designers and consultants and want to reward partners by the recurring revenue they bring, not by one-off referrals. Managed partners can look after their clients inside your WHMCS without a separate reseller setup.
What do you need, and what are the limits?
Requirements: WHMCS 8.x (confirmed at purchase), PHP 7.4 or newer and a working WHMCS cron. Payout runs are created on the last day of each month, and at quarter end for the quarterly tiers.
Limits: the module works out and records each payout, but it does not send money. You pay the partner by bank transfer or credit note and then mark the payout complete in the admin area. Managed clients are held as contacts under the partner's account. The module queues managed-client orders for month-end billing but does not create a combined monthly invoice by itself. It was built for a business billing in euro.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a referral partner and a managed partner?
<p>A referral partner only sends you clients through their link and earns on what those clients pay for a set number of quarters. A managed partner can also add clients to their own partner account and look after them; the monthly recurring revenue of those managed clients decides the partner's tier and rate.</p>
How often are partners paid?
<p>Partners in the Scale and Premier tiers get a payout run at the end of each month, and partners in the Referral and Growth tiers at the end of each quarter. Earnings below the minimum roll over to the next run. Each partner chooses bank transfer or credit note in their portal; you make the payment and then mark the payout complete.</p>
Can some products earn a different commission or none at all?
<p>Yes. Each product gets two extra settings: whether it earns partner commission at all, and an optional rate that overrides the tier rate. Products that are not eligible are also left out of a partner's monthly recurring revenue.</p>
