About this package

This package builds a billing system for a wireless, fiber or cable internet provider: subscribers and service addresses, speed plans, monthly invoices, online payments, reminders, a subscriber portal, and an inventory of routers and CPE, with a link to FreeRADIUS or MikroTik so non-payment can suspend service without someone logging into a router. It suits a regional ISP that bills from spreadsheets or from a tool that does not speak to its network.

How billing talks to the network

On Business, each subscriber's PPPoE or hotspot account and speed profile are written to FreeRADIUS, so the plan in billing is the plan on the wire. When an invoice passes its grace period, the subscriber moves to a suspended group that your network team defines, such as a walled-garden page that shows the balance and a pay link. Payment restores the normal group automatically. Premium adds the MikroTik RouterOS API for address lists and queues, and several POPs or NAS devices.

Your network team keeps control of routers, RADIUS servers and firewall rules. The billing system only connects through documented APIs and database tables they approve, and I send them the exact attributes and calls it uses before anything goes live.

Day-to-day work for a small team

  • CPE and router records with serial number, MAC address and which subscriber has each unit.
  • Cash and check payments entered at the counter alongside card and bank debit.
  • Data usage per subscriber from RADIUS accounting on Business, useful for fair-use plans.
  • A ticket queue for installs and faults, so a technician sees the account and the equipment.

Outside the scope

Network design, router configuration, spectrum licensing and any regulator reporting stay with you. Gateway and SMS fees are paid to those providers.

I have built websites, WHMCS modules and web apps for clients since before AI coding tools existed. Today I build with AI-assisted tools and review every change myself, which is why fixed prices here are lower than an agency's for the same scope. I work while the US, Canada and Australia sleep, so each morning there is progress on your staging link.

Questions about this package

Will you configure our routers and RADIUS server?

No. Your network team configures routers, RADIUS, firewalls and the walled garden. I build the billing side and connect it through documented APIs and the RADIUS tables they approve, then give them a written list of every attribute and call it uses so they can review it before go-live.

What happens to a subscriber's connection when they are suspended?

That depends on how your network is set up. Typically the next authentication puts them in a restricted profile or address list that only reaches a payment page, and where the NAS supports it a disconnect request applies it at once. Once they pay, the normal profile returns without staff action.

Can subscribers keep their PPPoE usernames and passwords?

Usually yes. If your current system exports usernames and passwords, or if they already sit in your RADIUS database, I map them to the new subscriber records so nobody has to reconfigure a router. Where passwords are stored hashed and cannot be exported, the new system keeps using the existing RADIUS entries.

How ordering a package works

  1. 1

    Choose a plan

Pick Starter, Business or Premium and pay once by card, PayPal or crypto. The price on the page is the price.

  2. 2

    Send your content

A project opens for your order. Send your text, logo, photos and any logins I need there.

  3. 3

    I build it

I build on a private staging link you can open on your phone, with updates as I go.

  4. 4

    Launch and handover

After your approval the site goes live on your domain, and every login is yours.

One-time price, no monthly fee from me

You pay for the build once. Your domain and hosting are registered in your name and renewed with your hosting provider, who bills you directly. I add nothing on top, and the site keeps running whether or not you hire me again.

What I do not build

Gambling and adult websites, and sites that sell content without the rights to it. Need something not listed? Ask for a custom quote.
