About this package

This package turns a website that already works well on a phone into an Android and iOS app: a native shell built in Flutter or React Native that loads your site, plus push notifications, an offline screen and phone features a browser tab cannot offer. It suits membership sites, local news and community sites, schools and shops whose customers return often and would rather tap an icon than type an address.

Why a bare wrapper is not enough

Apple's review guideline on minimum functionality rejects apps that are only a repackaged website. Google Play is more relaxed about sites you own. So the build adds what only an installed app can do: push messages, a native tab bar for your main sections, a clear screen when there is no connection, links from emails that open inside the app, the camera for uploads and the phone's share sheet. Starter is the leanest version and the one an Apple reviewer is most likely to question, which makes it a fit for an Android-first launch or a private test with your own customers. Business and Premium are the plans I recommend for the App Store.

How the app keeps up with your site

Pages come from your live site, so a new product, post or price appears in the app without a store update. Only changes to the shell itself, such as a new tab or a new device feature, need a new release. On Premium the home and account screens are drawn natively from your site's API, recently viewed pages stay readable offline, signed-in users can open the app with Face ID or a fingerprint, and an update prompt reaches people still on an old version.

Before you order

If pages break or load slowly on a phone, the app will show the same problems, so fix the mobile site first or ask me to quote it. If the site sells digital memberships or courses, those sales inside the app fall under the stores' in-app purchase rules, which I check during scoping. Developer accounts are opened in your name, and Apple's and Google's fees are paid by you.

I have built websites, WHMCS modules and web apps for clients since before AI coding tools existed. Today I build with AI-assisted tools and review every change myself, which is why fixed prices here are lower than an agency's for the same scope. I work while the US, Canada and Australia sleep, so each morning there is progress on your staging link.

Questions about this package

Will Apple accept an app made from my website?

Not if it is only the website in a frame; Apple's minimum functionality guideline rejects that. Apps with native navigation, push, offline handling and device features have a much better chance, which is why Business and Premium include them. The final decision is Apple's, and if a reviewer asks for more, I tell you what the note says and what adding it would take.

Do I need to update the app every time I change my website?

No. Content, prices, menus and new pages come from the live site, so they appear in the app straight away. A store update is only needed when the shell changes, for example a new tab, a new native screen, a new device feature, or when Apple or Google raise their minimum technical requirements.

What happens to my website's login and checkout inside the app?

They keep working as they do on a phone browser, and the web view keeps users signed in between visits. Card payments for physical products or services can stay on your site's checkout. Selling digital content or memberships inside the app is different, because Apple and Google may require their own in-app purchase for that.

How ordering a package works

  1. 1

    Choose a plan

Pick Starter, Business or Premium and pay once by card, PayPal or crypto. The price on the page is the price.

  2. 2

    Send your content

A project opens for your order. Send your text, logo, photos and any logins I need there.

  3. 3

    I build it

I build on a private staging link you can open on your phone, with updates as I go.

  4. 4

    Launch and handover

After your approval the site goes live on your domain, and every login is yours.

One-time price, no monthly fee from me

You pay for the build once. Your domain and hosting are registered in your name and renewed with your hosting provider, who bills you directly. I add nothing on top, and the site keeps running whether or not you hire me again.

What I do not build

Gambling and adult websites, and sites that sell content without the rights to it. Need something not listed? Ask for a custom quote.
