What should a school website do?

Answer the questions parents and students ask most, without a phone call: when term starts, what the fees are, how admissions work, what is happening this week and whom to contact. A notice board and events calendar that staff update themselves keep the site current, which matters more than any design detail.

Do you need a website or a learning platform?

A website informs and collects inquiries; a learning platform delivers the teaching. If students only need information, timetables and an admission form, a school or tutoring site is enough. If they log in to watch lessons, take quizzes and track progress, you need an LMS, either WordPress with an LMS plugin or a custom Laravel build when a plugin cannot follow the way you teach.

What do I need to send you?

Please share the school logo, contact details, academic calendar, fee structure if you publish it, a staff or tutor list and photos. For course platforms, send the course outline and lesson material: videos, PDFs and quiz questions with answers. Lesson videos belong on a paid streaming service in your name, not on ordinary web hosting, which is slow for video.

What does the price leave out?

Domain, hosting, premium LMS plugins, video hosting, SMS credits and payment gateway fees. I do not write course material, exam questions or curriculum; those come from you. Photos of children are published only with the consent your school collects from parents, and student data rules in your country, such as FERPA in the US or GDPR in Europe, stay your responsibility.

    I build on a private staging link you can open on your phone, with updates as I go.

    After your approval the site goes live on your domain, and every login is yours.

One-time price, no monthly fee from me

You pay for the build once. Your domain and hosting are registered in your name and renewed with your hosting provider, who bills you directly. I add nothing on top, and the site keeps running whether or not you hire me again.

What I do not build

Gambling and adult websites, and sites that sell content without the rights to it. Need something not listed? Ask for a custom quote.

Questions about school and education websites

Can teachers post notices themselves?

Yes. Staff get their own logins with permission to post notices, events and gallery photos, without access to the rest of the site. Notices can be pinned, given an expiry date and, on the higher plans, emailed to subscribed parents.

Should my course platform be WordPress or Laravel?

WordPress with an LMS plugin is quicker and cheaper to launch, and suits most course creators selling video lessons with quizzes. A custom Laravel LMS makes sense when you need rules a plugin does not handle, such as cohorts tied to institutions, custom grading or a connection to your own systems.

Can students pay fees online?

Yes, on the Business and Premium plans of most packages, through Stripe, PayPal or Razorpay accounts opened in your name. Fees go straight to your account and receipts are emailed automatically. Installments are possible where the gateway supports subscriptions or scheduled payments.
